Sergei Prokofiev's last ballet was difficult to create, did not have success at the premiere and had a great stage fate. The 1957 version by choreographer Yuri Grigorovich became a classic. The first production of Prokofiev's The Stone Flower in Yekaterinburg was similar to her.
Anton Pimonov is staging a completely new play. Together with Juliana Laikova– the artist of Tales of Perrault, now she acts as a set designer, costume designer and director – they start from the mythology of Bazhov's fairy tales and complement it by listening to Prokofiev's music.
