The action of The Little Humpbacked Horse begins in a fabulous Ural village, then the characters enter the chambers of Khan Kirghizsky, go to a magical island and to the bottom of the Arctic Ocean. In the finale, when Ivan is married to The Tsar Maiden, Russians, Kyrgyz and The Gypsies dance (The Gypsies must come out in the bolshoi ballet, wherever the action takes place), as well as special Ural people.
That's exactly what happened in the play, first performed in St. Petersburg a century and a half ago. He stayed on stage for a long time, choreographers supplemented him with more and more new numbers, according to current fashions, so that the The Little Humpbacked turned into a ballet concert based on the famous fairy tale by Pyotr Ershov. This is how the Horse will appear today — the ballet show of our time. East and West will meet here, the Urals are real and fabulous, ancient and new choreography, and rap will connect all eight ballet paintings. Perhaps the audience will be able to recognize themselves in the heroes of the play — the Ural people endowed with wonderful power.
