Alexander Naumov
Lighting designer
Born in Leningrad. After graduating from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute (now St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical Institute) in 1982, Alexander Naumov worked at the A.F.Ioffe Physical and Technical Institute. Since 1993, he is a member of staff at the Mariinsky Theatre. As assistant lighting designer, he participated in production of the opera Madame Butterfly, and as the lighting engineer, worked on the ballets Études, Undine, Carnival, Shourale, Spartacus, Diana Vishnevaya’s project Beauty in Motion (2009), as well as the ballet Labyrinth in the framework of Vishnevaya’s project Dialogues (2011).
He took part in production of ballets in Samara and Vladivostok. Among his works abroad, there are the project Ballettissimo, los virtuosos del mundo in Mexico City and Guadalajara (2003, 2008, 2010), opera Intizar on stage of the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku (2010). In Ekaterinburg, one can measure the results of his work in the ballets La Fille mal gardée and Paquita.
