Carnival, like Les sylphides, was staged not for the imperial stage, but for a private evening. Sergei Diaghilev took him into the repertoire of the Russian Seasons without seeing the play, and soon Fokin achieved a premiere at the Mariinsky Theater. This is a ballet pantomime: the exact choreographic text has not been preserved, but Fokin left a detailed verbal record of the action. It is according to her that the dancer and choreographer of the Mariinsky Theater, Alexander Sergeev, works — he was the producer of the play L. A. D., and now for the first time he is invited to the Ural Opera as a director. For the new performance, the original design by Lev Bakst from 1910 is being resumed.
